From my mind to yours – my books, on writing, on creativity!

Editing & Writing Services

You Need An Editor.

It’s a fact: Writers who work with a critique and editing service are more successful than those who work with no editorial supervision. Novels, dissertations, non-fiction books, magazine articles, technical writing, ghostwriting, blogs, self-publishing – these and more all stand to benefit. No matter what level you are on, no matter how sophisticated your manuscript, or how successful you are, you need an editor to fine-tooth-comb your finished product. Every writer whose goal is publication – or continued publication – needs a good editor.

Send me your first two pages and let me show you how I can polish them for you – at no charge. Let me show you how great editing can get you closer to your goal: your story, article, book or novel in printed form.

As Patricia Highsmith states, “The secret of success in writing is individuality.” You need a strong, unique voice that radiates through tight compelling composition. With an amazing amount of competition in the writing world, what rises to the top? Perfect spelling, punctuation, and grammar; fluid sentence structure and transitions; mesmerizing plots filled with stunning twists and peopled with fascinating characters; all presented in a fresh, consistent style that makes editors and readers alike demand more.

As an award-winning writer and novelist, my goal is to help you, no matter what your skill level, develop and strengthen your own unique voice. To help you tell the stories only you can tell in the most compelling way possible. To help you rise to the top, so that you have the best chance to catch the eye of an agent or editor!

Comments from client writers:

Sherry H., California: “Susan, I am so blessed to have you in my life to edit my fictional work. You are as passionate in your critique of my stories as you are in your own extraordinary writing. With every review, I benefit from your skill, knowledge, and enthusiasm for the written word. And, all of it done with respect and sensitivity for the vulnerability of a soul in creative process. Thorough AND joyful… what a gift you are! Sher”

Tracy B., Arizona: “Dear Susan, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all of the valuable advice you have offered me throughout my writing endeavors. I am even closer to publication thanks to you! I am currently a semi-finalist in a writing competition with the grand prize being publication by a major New York publishing house! What an incredible opportunity for me! Even if I am not chosen as a winner in this particular contest, you have helped me to polish my manuscript. No matter what, publication is just around the corner for me! One day, you will have a signed copy of Fate And Destiny in your hands! Thank you!
Tracy”

Evelyn C., California: “I have taught English grammar, composition, literature, creative writing, and semantics at varying grade levels 7-13. I have written and edited numerous journals, manuscripts and poems and submitted my own work to others for at least twenty-five years. In that time no one has zeroed in on what is missing or off target in my writing as quickly and as gently as Susan Tuttle. She has both eye and heart.”
